How to plan the perfect Labor Day weekend on Tybee Island.

For many people, Labor Day weekend is considered the unofficial last weekend of Summer. This three day weekend is also another excuse to plan a trip to the beach!

One of the biggest celebrations on the Georgia coast happens right here on Tybee Island.

Planning your holiday weekend should be easy, so we want to pitch in and share our tips on how to make the most of your Tybee Labor Day weekend.

#1. Book A Beach Home Rental!

Are you spending the weekend with just a few friends or inviting the whole family? Chances are, Oceanfront Cottage Rentals will have the perfect vacation rental home to offer you. Check out the availability here or contact a Vacation planner now. 912-786-0054 Availability will not last long!

#2. You’re going to need groceries!

A Labor Day weekend is not complete without firing up the grill. Make sure you have everything you need to prepare snacks and meals throughout the weekend by visiting one of the local grocery stores. If you would prefer to skip the lines, Tybee Island’s IGA also offers Grocery delivery!

#3. Rent beach equipment and bikes!

One of the many great things about Tybee is that you can get everywhere by bike. Tim’s Beach Gear and Burke’s Beach Gear rentals offer bike and beach gear rentals. They will also deliver and set up your gear.

#4. Put on your dancing shoes!

That’s right, grab your dancing shoes (or flip flops will do). There will be a live band performing on the Tybee Pier and Pavillion. The performances will include covers of beach music that the whole family will recognize.

#5. Plan to take lots of pictures!

Make sure your phone is charged because you are going to want to capture all the memories of this weekend. You’ll definitely want to plan on taking pictures under the fireworks display that will take place on Tybee’s south beach.
