#1 18th Street Lower

Great property, Great location

Wife and I spent the weekend here in February. The property is nice, you are on the first floor of a 2 story house. The hot tub was a great touch. The location is also amazing, you are at the end of the street and right next to beach access.

A mixed bag

This homes location is right on the beach. It's an easy 30 yard walk from the front door over the dune bridge and onto the beach. The furniture and beds are all very comfortable and the kitchen was fully stocked with all of the dishes you will need. The back deck area is great. Lots of space for you and your group to hang out and the hot tub and grill were both excellent. There is a water hose attached to the house that was great for rinsing off before heading back inside from the beach. The house is so close to all of the bars, restaurants, and shops that you will barely need to drive during your stay. The negatives would be this is the lower level of a 2 story house. I feel the listing does not make this clear. There will be another group above you in the upstairs portion of the house. "Sleeps 10" is being very generous. The two double beds are going to be tight for two people. Sleeps 8 seems more accurate. The ceilings are very low in this house. A member of our group was 6'5 and his head was nearly touching the ceiling in every room of the house. You cannot see the beach from the deck. You can only see the dune. Overall is was a fine rental but not exactly as expected.

Your review will also be insightful for those thinking of staying at this property for both the positives and the negatives. Please come back again and consider staying in the "upper" location. The upper portion of this house has a large oceanfront sundeck attached to a covered porch allowing guests to enjoy fun in the sun or retreat to the shade while overlooking the southern tip of Tybee.

Fantastic location, would return

The location and hot tub were perfect. We had 6 adults and 2 kids so it was definitely cozy. Only thing I would change would be adding another shower. One was challenging for our group.

perfect base camp for my bridesmaids during wedding weekend
Couldn't be closer to the beach, which is great bc you always have a clean bathroom to use and Cozy spot to go eat lunch, grill out, or lounge in the hottub. You can't see the ocean from the lower unit, but it feels so secluded , like your being hugged by the sand dunes! We are Savannah locals and have experienced many great rental properties on our beloved Tybee- this place is a gem of a location, with a hottub to boot! AND our dogs could come hang out, the back porch is secure for them to be off leash while we were out there. We really couldn't believe how private this place felt, especially on the back deck- even though the loud, busy Pier nightlife is only 2 blocks away! The guys walked down to a bar one night, and the girls had wine and hottub .. Absolutely a dream vacation. Thank you for this special place, we will definitely be back!

Very convenient
We come to Tybee every year and always stay somewhere different. This place is definitely a winner! This location was close enough to the pier that we could walk everywhere, but was far enough away that it still felt very secluded. The hot tub was perfect when the sun went down (there was even a full moon which added to the ambiance), and it is positioned in such a way that it was very private. The beach was steps away which is very convenient if you have small kids and have to carry tons of beach supplies.

Perfect beachside Getaway
This was our first trip to Tybee and we loved this place! We were literally steps away from the beach - which worked out better than we thought since Tybee is a pay-to-park area. We rarely had to drive anywhere. We were only a couple blocks from the pier, but on an end street so traffic wasn't a factor at all. We have all intentions of trying to get this room again in the future.
