Tybee Island’s fun, family-friendly parade to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day. Not quite as large as Savannah’s, but still something super fun that you have to be part of. Enjoy the sun on your face as you watch the parade go by with the whole family! And after the parade you can walk to the beach and feel your toes in the sand!

9th Annual Tybee Turtle Trot

Fund Raiser for the Tybee Island Sea Turtle Project and Kick-off of Coastal Georgia’s Sea Turtle Nesting Season. Join us in kicking off Georgia’s sea turtle nesting season with our 9th annual Turtle Trot 5k beach run! Registration is $25 for non-members and $20 for members. Pre-register by April 17th, 2013 and receive a free t-shirt. Awards are given to the top three finishers in each age group, and to overall male and female winners. Sign in starts at 7:00am.
SCAD Sand Arts Festival

“Come sculpt the sand, or simply soak up the spectacle” is the online invitation to the Sand Art Festival 2013, posted on SCAD.edu. If you are not carving sand castles or sand art, we hope you will come, watch, and support the talented art students — Friday, May 3, 2013 — 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. on North Beach, Tybee Island, Georgia. The activities will be Lighthouse Inn near the Tybee Island Lighthouse, North Beach Grill, and Tybee Island Museum.

Tybee Island Beach Bum Parade

Prepare to get wet at this annual parade designed for beach bums of all ages! It’s literally a huge water fight where everyone on the island gets in on the action. You would think it’s great for mostly the kids, but once that water gun is in your hands and everyone is soaking wet you become a kid yourself! The laughter alone is worth it all!

Labor Day Beach Bash

The annual Labor Day Beach Bash will get underway on Tybee Island on Sunday, September 1st, 2013.
Folks can enjoy ocean breezes, live music and fireworks from the Tybee Pier and Pavilion. Free live entertainment from the Swingin’ Medallions will start at 7 p.m. The band has performed live with Bruce Springsteen and has been featured in the Georgia Music Hall of Fame. Folks can enjoy the fireworks display from the pier, the beach or anywhere on the island. The fireworks will blast off around 9:15 p.m
Pirate’s Fest

Swashbucklers of all ages will converge on Tybee Island to participate in the 9th Annual Tybee Island Pirate Fest! Featuring a Pirate Victory Parade, Live Entertainment, Costume Contests, Children’s Activities, and the Thieves Market filled with treasures, grog, and grub!Come join our crew on our very own ship (aka parade float!)
New Years Eve Fireworks

Bring in the New Year with a bang! Enjoy the show launched from the Tybee Pier at the stroke of midnight at one of Tybee’s many restaurants and bars, or watch it from the beach. It promises to be spectacular! Check out our many south beach condos where you can relax on your porch while enjoying the beautiful show of lights and hear the music floating towards you from the Pier!
Tybee Polar Plunge

Last year we broke a world record!This event has become a Tybee tradition, held every January 1st at noon at the Pier on the south end of the island. Plan to be with us next year, invigorating your soul with a cleansing (and cold) plunge into the Atlantic. It’s a memory you can keep forever, and perhaps a tradition of your own to start!
Tybee Critz Run

5K, 10K, Half Marathon, 2.8 Mile Beach Run and 1 Mile Run. You can do 1, 2, 3, 4, or all 5 events – whichever you choose. If you participate in all 5 events, the distances add up to 26.2 miles – a full marathon. We are very excited about bringing this event to you and hope you will be excited about taking on the challenge!Enjoy the beautiful views during your run of our special little island!
