About the Event

When GA Seminars by the Sea Porcelain Arts School opened in 2008 it was to fill a gap in the market for Porcelain Painters, fondly called “china painters”. The goal being, classes that would be taught by premier National and International Porcelain Artists, in a beautiful setting. Oceanfront Cottage Rentals provided luxury accommodation with friendly staff, and so with the added bonus of professionally catered food and a very relaxed atmosphere, the venture was launched. What happened though, was that word spread, and GA Seminars grew year on year to become the largest, and most popular Porcelain Art retreat in the World. Where else can you get up to 19 top class tutors all teaching in the same location, at the same time, with quality food, and superior vacation villas at such an amazing price?

In addition, Suzanne Painter, who owns GA Seminars, made the decision to run the first International Online Painting Competition with the amazing prize of an all expenses paid course with one of the top artists, Mary Gosden, USA.

Suzanne wanted to promote Porcelain Art worldwide, and the “Go for Gold”, Olympic themed competition resulted in 112 hand painted entries from painters across the globe!
The ultimate winner, Bond Malikaew, will claim his prize by joining GA Seminars from Thailand in February 2013. Bond is delighted to be the first winner of the International Online GA Seminars Competition, and says he is looking forward to finding out the theme for the 2013 Competition, which will be announced at Session 1 in February.

SESSION 1: Feb 21-26 2013
SESSION 2: Feb 26-March 4 2013
SESSION 3: March 4-8 2013

Cost for this event is $750 (double) or $850 (single) per session, which includes 5 nights luxury, bed and breakfast style accommodation, catered meals, 4 days of class, firing and evening demonstrations. Please note that partners are very welcome at a charge of $400 per session which includes everything except tuition!

In addition for 2013, we have exclusive tours between sessions where you can take an air conditioned trolley through the beautiful Historic Savannah District, or join us on the famous Paula Deen Tour. For those who join us on Session 2 be ready for the “Tybee Buckaneer Ball” when we descend on the Crab Shack for fun and frolics with Treasure Chests and costume contests!!

Day students are welcomed at a charge of $400 per 4 day session which includes tuition & lunch.
