All hail the King & Queen of Tybee’s Pirate Fest 2015!

The Tybee Island Pirate Fest was first held in 2005. The idea was born after a few locals wanted to create an event to highlight the unique personality of the island. Following an enormous number of hours, blood, sweat, and tears the first Pirate Fest took to the streets of Tybee.

The first year was a greater success than event developers expected. With the support of many dedicated volunteers, The City of Tybee Island, and local businesses, the event has continued to grow each year since it’s inception. Pirate enthusiasts travel from across the country each year, to visit our charming island as we transform into pirates and wenches each Columbus Day weekend.

Our Pirate Fest blankets the downtown area to highlight the local shops and restaurants while showcasing our beautiful beach and pier. Visitors are invited to escape the ordinary, if only for a weekend.

Each year a pair outstandin’ Tybee citizens be selected to fulfill ’tis esteemed position ‘n we be pleased to announce that th’ honor for the 2015 Tybee Island Pirate’s Fest King & Quen has gone to our owners Lannie ‘n Stacye Jarrell! Both ‘o these Tybee residents spend so much ‘o their time ‘n energy makin’ ‘tis island a fantastic place to visit ‘n an amazin’ place to live.
